The Search for Transcendence

If you think about it, the record of the entire history of humanity will remain incomplete. So many lives and existences have been lived out that we would never hear about. Events happen to us everyday that shape us into who we are in the background of life, whether good or bad. I think it’s innate in humanity to look for a greater reason behind life itself. Entire generations have passed and yet God still remains the same. He exists outside of reality and yet he sees everything. Some people find that they don’t have the time to consider the greater direction of their life and simply want to just go with the flow. Others still go in the wrong direction entirely. Searching for meaning and then deciding that there is nothing to even live for.

The meaning that everyone is searching for is beyond the limited span of our lives. The need that we are searching for in our lives is transcendent and immaterial. Beyond the mundane day to day of life. God is the organizing principle of society and of life. By getting rid of him you only enhance the emptiness of the world. The reclamation of the Christian foundations of our society are important.

Every society has a moral core that defines everything that it believes. The west once had this too. It won’t ever be reclaimed until we are ready to reclaim it. It has to start with your personal life before anything else. As society has become more technologically advanced we have lost touch with the metaphysical, immaterial world where God the father reigns. As our society naturally becomes more socially fractured, the harder it will become to ignore our own creator.
